Purpose: To provide with an integrated approach to all human issues in an organization and with a method & tools for creating personal transformation needed to become a transformational leader


It is now widely recognized that the business world is in the throes of constant, rapid and unpredictable change. For leaders coming from a command-and-control tradition, leading change requires an expansion of skills - but it's not just skills, it's a different way of being a leader. To change how people work begins with changing how you lead.

It starts with you in a very personal way - who you are, where you place value, what you do and how you relate to people, all of which has more influence on your organization than what you say.

Transformational Leadership starts with your creating a new understanding of yourself ; it entails a reflection of yourself; placing aside ego-driven needs and, instead, finding gratification and satisfaction in cultivating others. ; it's turning to the organization in a personal way, as a way of changing its culture to one that accepts change.

Transformational Leadership incorporates both the need for a leader to be strong - on terms of a strong sense of direction, a clear sense of self and values - and also an ability to let go, to be open-ended, to allow others to evolve and to grow. Only leaders who posses the self-esteem and confidence needed to speak the truth gain the loyalty of others.

METHOD & TOOLS of the "Human Element"

A personal development and leadership guide to creating a work environment where self-determination and openness are the rule, the "Human Element" offers strategies for heightening your awareness of yourselves and others.

The Human Element™ seminar was developed by Will Schutz who has served on the faculties of Harvard University, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Chicago, … and who created and chaired the graduate department of Holistic Studies at Antioch University, San Francisco. The Human Element, based on the FIRO theory (a three-dimensional model for understanding and improving human potential), is the process which turns theory into practice, which creates energy, motivation and confidence for change, which develops self awareness and self-esteem.

The Human Element is an intensive seminar. This seminar offers a unique learning environment for understanding human relations and for exploring ways to improve personal influence, leadership skills & team relations ; it includes brief lectures, experiential training, scientifically valid self-assessment questionnaires, group feedback, individual and team simulations, skills practice, large team activities, all with professional facilitation.


COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • To build commitment by inspiring, motivating and to enable people to continue to respond to the changing environment
  • To develop emotional intelligence - the ability to inspire and motivate others - recognized as equally important as intellectual intelligence in running a successful organization
  • To emphasize the people element in change and performance and to address the fundamental issues that affect drive and motivation by focusing on the underlying causes of behavior such as incompatibilities and rigidities that block successful performance
  • To become equipped to deal with the important issues in human relationships to lead people through change
